About the role
- Location:Hartford, CT (Onsite)
- Administer and support IBM Power Systems (Power7, Power8, Power9, Power10).
- Perform server provisioning, installation, configuration, and lifecycle management.
- Execute firmware, microcode, and hardware maintenance activities.
- Plan and perform IBM Power platform upgrades and migrations.
- Install, configure, patch, and maintain AIX 7.x environments.
- Perform TL/SP upgrades, OS upgrades, and NIM/NIMADM migrations.
- Build and maintain Virtual I/O Servers.
- Configure virtual SCSI, NPIV, Shared Ethernet Adapters (SEA), and virtual networking.
- Perform VIOS upgrades, patching, and health checks.
- Manage storage virtualization and SAN connectivity
- Install, configure, and manage Hardware Management Consoles (HMC).
- Create and manage LPARs, DLPAR operations, processor and memory allocation.
- Perform HMC upgrades, backups, and recovery activities.
