About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer (Java / Angular / AWS) to join a high-impact team for a key client in Washington, DC. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices and modern web applications while leveraging cutting-edge AWS cloud services and event-driven architectures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment, taking end-to-end ownership of full-stack feature delivery, automated CI/CD pipelines, and application observability to drive key client initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and deploy scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design and build responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using Angular.
  • Build and maintain serverless and containerized cloud applications on AWS utilizing Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, and EventBridge.
  • Configure and support core AWS infrastructure, including API Gateway, SQS, SNS, VPC, and Secrets Manager.
  • Implement event-driven architectures and messaging systems to ensure seamless asynchronous processing.
  • Automate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and observability using Dynatrace and enterprise tooling.
  • Collaborate using GitHub for version control and leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance development efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High proficiency in Angular and modern web technologies.
  • Strong programming foundation in Java and Python.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Spring Boot microservice development and RESTful API design.
  • Demonstrated experience with core AWS services, including AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and Amazon ECS.
  • Practical knowledge of AWS networking and application services (API Gateway, SQS, SNS, VPC, EventBridge, Secrets Manager).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.
  • Experience with GitHub, version control workflows, and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe tools, GitHub Copilot, or Ionic is a major plus.
